Free NHS Sight
Tests:
· People
60 or over
· Children under 16 and young people 16,17 and 18 and in
full-time education
· Diagnosed glaucoma patients
· People 40 and over who are a parent, brother, sister,
son or daughter of a diagnosed glaucoma patient, or have been
advised by an ophthalmologist that they are at risk of glaucoma
· People who are diagnosed a diabetic
· People registered blind or partially sighted
· People who need complex lenses
· People whose sight test is carried our through the Hospital
Eye Department as part of the management of their eye condition
· People and their partner getting:
o Income Support
o Income-based Job Seekers Allowance
o Pension Credit Guarantee Credit
o People named on a valid NHS Tax Exemption Certificate
o NHS Exemption Certificate
· People named on an HC2
certificate
· People named on an HC3
certificate might also get help towards the cost of a private
sight test
